GENO RAPHAEL C. PAZ

His name “Geno” means God is gracious; God is kind.  But, he was rarely called by his name, no matter how grand it is. He was known as Bubuy!

“Bubuy” came from an episode of GMA 7’s Magpakailanman entitled “Bubuy Liit” into which his dad has took noticed. I was 2 or 3 months pregnant that time, pero we call him Bubuy since then kahit na we didn’t know if I was even carrying a boy. Pero God is really good to us. He knows what’s our hearts desire. On my 20th week, my ultrasound shows that Bubuy is indeed a boy!

UntitledApril 21, 2014 – Bubuy came into this world and filled our hearts with joy. So much happiness na mahirap i-explain. Mahilig naman ako sa mga bata pero it’s different when it’s your own. You just can’t help but stare at your little one, then you’ll say “ang cute naman ng anak ko!” I know new parents can relate on this.

The first few months after was not easy. Pagod at puyat is real. The adjustments of first time parents is definitely a big struggle for us. I even remember our first night at home. Bubuy was only 3 days old. He kept on crying and we can’t figure out what was wrong. We were already thinking of going to the hospital that night when my husband called my in-laws to ask for help. Papa lolo came to the rescue and smear manzanilla on Bubuy’s stomach. Bubuy then instantly fell asleep. Masakit daw ang tiyan kasi umulan!

It’s true, mahirap mag alaga at magpalaki ng anak. Not to mention the EXPENSES! Diapers, gatas and kung ano ano pa. Nonetheless, we managed to get by. Our pagod was rewarded by Bubuy’s smiles, his first walk, his first word and all of his many firsts! Maybe its really true that all “panganays” have this special place on every parents hearts. Kasi they get to experienced the joy and challenge of raising a child firsthand.

26805406_1760154450669661_8255796352188874446_nFast forward to 2018 – In less than a month, Bubuy will turn 4! I still can’t believe how time flies so fast. It was like a blink of an eye and he has grown so much already. He is now a Kuya to his 2 month old baby brother and loves taking care of him. He even wakes up in the middle of the night just to comfort his crying brother telling him “Biboy, wag ka na iyak, andito na ako!” and telling me “mommy, iyak sya kasi gusto nya ako e”. I don’t know how at his age, he can already say those things but it made me very very happy.

We can also bring him with us sa kapilya kasi tahimik lang sya at hindi sya kumakain sa loob. He is respectful and friendly to everyone. He greets everyone at church, even those na hindi namin kilala. One time, he scolded me saying “mommy dapat may “po” e!”. He appreciates anything you give him. Those little things makes us proud and deserves a pat on every parents back.

We just hope and pray that as he grows old, the discipline and lessons that we instilled on him lingers..to be a GOOD BOY BUBUY!

Tuna Carbonara

I love pasta.. one of my favorite is TUNA CARBONARA!

I got the recipe from a friend and and this has been my famous pasta dish sa church namin. Why? Kasi, I used to cook this on occasions and para pakain sa mga events/activities namin sa kapilya lalo na nung maytungkulin pa ako sa PNK. Not only it’s delish, but also because it’s easy to prepare and budget friendly! Sabi nga nila, pasok sa banga! 🤣

This is also the very first dish I cooked for my then boyfriend (and now hubby!). I can’t recall how many times I was praised for being a good cook dahil sa recipe na ito.

So now, I’m posting this recipe kasi this is very significant sa aking cooking career! Haha! 🤣

So I just decided to share what’s on my mind in a whole new level.. thru blogging!

Sa totoo lang, my hubby influenced me into this and my maternity leave gives me the opportunity to start.
